Cars.com Marketplace Safety Tips - Fake Email
Please be aware that the email screenshot below was not sent by Cars.com, even though the fraudster is using our Customer Service Representative's name in this fake email.
Cars.com DOES NOT have a "Cars.com Protection Program". We are not involved in the transaction or payment process between the buyer and seller. Cars.com also does not have an Escrow Department.
We encourage sellers to use Dependable Auto Shipping and Escrow.com for shipping and escrow services.

Its sad to see that cars.com has been hard with these fraudsters and scammers but its great to see that you are informing your clients of all that is happening as to keep them aware.

It is really good to get information about car.com as people will become more careful while doing any deal . On other hand , I feeling sad after knowing the things about car.com. It is too bad. But We must aware of reality.

There are a lot of fake emails.. you got to be very careful when you do transactions on the internet.

I called two sellers of cars listed on cars.com. both the phone numbers listed in the cars.com ads were bogus, and the emails i sent to sellers were never responded to. Could it be that cars.com is running bogus ads?
