Google Sponsored Link Virus

There have been reports of an attack on Google sponsored links, in which business and car-related words were fraudulently purchased with the intent to install a virus on searchers' PCs.  Cars.com was one of many legitimate, trusted brands used in this attack to lure consumers to the affected links.   

Cars.com is committed to the safety and security of our users.  We have been assured by Google that all affected links have been removed from their site and that they are continuing to monitor the situation.  We trust Google to take the necessary technical steps to protect both advertisers and consumers moving forward.
