This is a great bullet list of info for anyone looking to buy a car. Certified used cars are the way to go, if you want the reliability of a new car but want to save money. Find a dealership that has used cars with under 20K miles that are only 1-3 years old and that's a sure bet - you're buying a practically new car for thousands less. I went online to find such a dealership, I searched "used cars Salem Oregon" and found a great dealership called Midtown Motors (http://midtownmotorssalem.com) that had a wide selection of fairly new vehicles, all in great condition, and for 10's of 1000's less than a new car.. I called and talked to a salesman (Craig, I think it was), and the next day I was test driving and buying.. totally worth it.
