Hyundai Discontinues Elantra Coupe for 2015

It may be difficult to find a 2014 Hyundai Elantra coupe on dealership lots right now, but it will be impossible to find a 2015. The Korean automaker is discontinuing the two-door Elantra after the 2014 model year. Hyundai spokesman Jim Trainor confirmed the coupe's departure from the Elantra lineup for 2015, saying in an email that the automaker always considered the coupe a niche vehicle and it was going to focus attention on the sedan and GT models.

Despite the low volume, we still thought the coupe was a well-put-together package. reviewer Mike Hanley wrote in his review when the car debuted: "The new 2013 Hyundai Elantra coupe provides the same fuel-efficient driving experience as its sedan counterpart, and it doesn't sacrifice much backseat comfort or cargo room." photo by Evan Sears

well I was ready to buy a 2015 elantra coupe I guess I'll be getting a Nissan or Honda I don't like 4 door cars

Code for low the Veloster probably took some of the sales

Have you considered a Scion TC?
I'd avoid the Nissan.

The Veloster??? That ugly thing?? I am like Cindy, I hate 4 door cars. And I am just SICK that Hyundai has discontinued the Elantra Coupe! I absolutely LOVED mine, but due to financial difficulties I had to get rid of it. I planned on buying another when I get back on my feet, but now I have no idea what I will buy. Hate the Civic and its goofy dashboard. Scion TC is for 20 somethings who love drifting movies. Guess I either go to Canada to buy or I buy a Forte, which is the same company as Hyundai but just not the same as the Elantra Coupe!

Love my 2013 coupe...I don't like having something that thousands of other have and the coupe is just that. Car is nice in every area but horsepower but with 37mpg highway, who cares.

That's a shame. I love my Elantra coupe. Would have bought another. I didn't like the Scion TC when I was car shopping.

The truth is they never even tried to market the car. there is a market for coupes but they need to let those people know the car exists in order to sell it. I waited over a year for the car to. One to market (saw it at the auto show) but even then I had to order mine (back in 2013) because they weren't even stocking them.
