2013VolkswagenPassat

Vehicles Affected: About 150,201 model-year 2012-2013 Volkswagen Passat sedans manufactured between January 2011 and November 2012.

The Problem: The low beam headlight bulb may become loose and lose electrical contact; this may reduce the driver's visibility and increase the risk of a crash.

The Fix: Volkswagen will notify owners starting in May, and dealers will replace the bulb holder for free.

What Owners Should do: Owners can call Volkswagen at 800-822-8987, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit www.safercar.gov for more info.

Michael

By chance dose this effect the day time run lights? My drivers side run light went out for about two weeks then came back on by its self. The bulb cost $7.00 to $11.00(@ Auto Zone), & about $110. in labor from the dealership. Will this recall fix what could be my 2013's Passat probable, or should I be looking to spend only GOD knows how much to correct whatever might be wrong?
