Kia to Debut New Eight-Passenger Vehicle at 2014 New York Auto Show

Kia announced today that it will unleash an "all-new midsize multi-purpose vehicle" later this month at the 2014 New York International Auto Show. The Korean automaker shared few details about the vehicle, but judging by a teaser photo, it looks like a crossover SUV with a bit of an evil attitude courtesy of a sinister-smiling front grille and large, angry-looking headlights.

To me it looks more like a replacement for the sedona which really badly needs love

Judging from how close the front and rear door handles are, I'm pretty sure it's a minivan and not a crossover

The overall shape reminds me of the Nissan Quest

Looks better than the "bore-ento."

Looks pretty awesome for a minivan and would be a nice replacement for our 2008 Sedona, but we've had some issues (headlights/tail light bulbs, power doors/liftgate)

It's a minivan.

Kia is going overboard with not calling it a minivan so it may very well be a minivan. They didn't say either way. We changed the headline to reflect that.

people, why you sweating. This is another minivan. Its images are all over the net. Just go to google images and type "2015 kia minivan"

Good to see Kia update its way, way long in the tooth Sedona mini-van. I will definitely take a look at this MPV formally known as mini-van at the car show.

Not a minivan.
Kia does a good job with crossovers. Look at their Rondo. Sat 7 very comfortably. Not sure why it left production. Glad to see their bringing back a crossover.
