Recall Alert: 2003-2004 Honda Odyssey; 2003 Acura MDX

2003-acura-mdx

Vehicles Affected: Approximately 318,000 model-year 2003-2004 Honda Odyssey minivans and approximately 56,000 model-year 2003 Acura MDX crossovers.

The Problem: The supplemental restraint system (airbag system) could malfunction due to electrical interference. "Honda has received a small but increasing number of complaints in recent months of inadvertent airbag deployment in these vehicles," the automaker said in a statement. There have been no reports of accidents or injuries related to this issue, however.

The Fix: Dealers will install an electrical noise filter adjacent to the SRS control unit for free.

What Owners Should Do: Honda will notify owners starting in late October. Owners can visit www.recalls.honda.com and www.recalls.acura.com or call 800-999-1009 (Honda) or 800-382-2238 (Acura) for more information.

2003 ? I clicked just to see if it was a typo and they meant 2013 !

Great looking car. Wish I had the money to buy it.

It is really good that they have addressed this concern as early as possible. I admire Honda for doing that as they are concern for the safety of their clients.
