Reviews the 2014 Fiat 500L

The larger version of Fiat's 500 hatchback shares the little guy's sense of style but delivers a whole lot more, says reviewer Kelsey Mays. The 2014 Fiat 500L offers added passenger and cargo utility, a more pleasant driving experience and a surprising amount of value compared to its siblings, Mays says.

Ugly stuff

Wow, its passenger space is 99.7 cu. ft. which should be more than a compact car like Corolla, Civic.

And its trunk space is another 20 cu. ft. So totally it has 120 cu. ft. volume which is more than mid size sedan like Camry, Fusion, Accord, Altima.

This type of Mini CUV is a fast growing segment.

Will the awful reliability be any better?

Geo, what awful reliability? I've had my Fiat 500 for 2 years now with zero problems. You might be thinking of the 1970's Fiats, but today's are much better.

I've been waiting for this model to land in the U.S. but mighty disappointed by the lame TV ad. Did Fiat USA hire the same agency that put together the crappy JLo promos of a few years ago? They are marketing a five door automobile to the entitled young who expose their bare body parts and live in clubs and bars. Kind of disenfranchises the rest of us who have disposable dollars for select car purchases.

Entitled youth? Now I'll admit it was a silly tv ad but .... come on. The entire point of the ad was that she'd worked her way up from a poor start. I'm pretty sure that's exactly the opposite of "entitled". Watch out for those darn kids on your lawn, too.

I love my new 500L, It Rocks! Couldnt be happier!

Someone is giving this same car away on
Same picture anyway.

I just posted but would like my email address to be deleted, please.Jane

I was wondering if any new 500L owners have had trouble with their clutches overheating?
