Cars.com Reviews the 2013 Toyota Highlander

2013ToyotaHighlander

In the last year before its redesign, the 2013 Toyota Highlander still has the comforting, familiar presence of an old friend — not the flashy, adventurous friend you paint the town red with, but the one you can always talk to or count on to water your plants when you're away. Cars.com reviewer Aaron D. Bragman says the midsize SUV's roominess, power, comfort and utility, along with influential exterior styling that holds up, make it a versatile family vehicle that does everything you need it to — unless what you need is exhilaration. As the owner of a new highlander limited, I agree with most of this review. However,, I would add that far from being an appliance, it is a high quality vehicle that delivers an extremely pleasurable driving experience. Plus it can tow 5,000 pounds. Mileage in the real world beats the EPA ratings by about 20 percent , while I've read tests showing the Pathfinder struggling to hit its rating. You can't go wrong with a highlander. Our 2001 has 200,000 miles and still has the original exhaust system and shocks and runs like the day we bought it.

I love this car. I think they have done well with the design. To me, it has a design similar to the Mercedes Benz GL.
