Reviews the 2013 Chevrolet Equinox

"Androgynous" isn't an adjective typically intended or taken as a compliment — except maybe when reviewer Kristin Varela uses it to describe a family crossover's appeal for moms and dads alike. The 2013 Chevrolet Equinox is neither too sporty for women nor too curvaceous for guys. The Equinox's creators, she says, understand family needs, as the crossover offers easy access for children while its 60/40-split sliding backseat provides flexibility as they go from child-safety seats to growth spurts. She grades the strong-seller's cargo room, interior and engine noise to determine if the Equinox is still a formidable family option.

2013 Chevrolet Equinox Review

The Chevrolet Equinox is a nice balanced car.Just like the manufacturers claim it is neither too sporty for women nor too curvaceous for guys. This makes it a potentially family car.It provides adequate safety options for kids and are appreciable due to the fact that they are equally effective even as the kids grow up.This car tops my list for the best family car of 2013

The Equinox is terrible.
The space efficiency is low, the outside is long & wide, but the inside is short & narrow.
The 2.4 I4 needs to be replaced with the 2.5 I4.
GM totally fouled up the axle ratios on the 3.0 V6, so instead of fixing that, they just replace the 3.0 with 3.6. The "awd" now actually has too short gearing.
Red turn signals, is just icing on the crap cake.

I love the Equinox. Very solid on the road. Very quiet interior. Excellent mileage from my 4 cylinder version.

A great family car...
