Cars.com Family Reviews the 2013 Ford Escape
With its redesign, the Ford Escape shed its boxy looks for a sleek crossover shape, and it's better for it, says Cars.com Family reviewer Sara Lacey. The Escape now easily juggles family needs — both on the inside and out: The optional power liftgate that opens with a kick under the bumper is a dream for parents carrying babies and grocery bags while the interior had plenty of legroom for Sara's school-aged kids.

We recently cross shopped the Escape with the CRV and Santa Fe Sport. We ended up buying the CRV as it was the best all around vehicle. Our second choice was the Santa Fe. There were many things we didn't like about the Escape the two main ones being the high price tag and God awful interface design.
I purchased a 2013 Ford Escape the end of Dec. I hate it and even thougnt of returning it before the 30 days were up. It has a 12 gallon gas tank and only gets 23 miles to the gallon so I am always at the gas station. And so small that I have to take my granddaughters shoes off everytime I put her in the back set because her feet rest on the back of the seat and console. Very disappointed. I can't see how it was rated one of the top 4 vehicles.
