Car Talk: What's the Ugliest Car?
Just as a person's beauty is only skin deep, a car's is in the eye of the pink-slip holder. Still, there's just no denying that some have a face only an owner could love. Tom and Ray Magliozzi, the hosts of NPR's "Car Talk" radio show, solicited input online to determine the ugliest automobile currently in production.
Based on the nominations received, the field was narrowed to 10: Chevrolet Spark, Fiat Multipla, Infiniti QX56, Kia Soul, Lincoln MKT, Mitsubishi i-MiEV, Nissan Cube, Nissan Juke (photo above), Toyota Prius v and the Smart ForTwo. At last check, the Multipla was trouncing the uncomely competition with nearly 39% of the vote. Its nearest opponent is the Juke with nearly 26%; the balance of the nominees' vote tallies were in the single digits.

Since there are no Acuras (any of which would easily win) I'll have to go with the Juke. The Fiat shouldn't be in the running as it's not in the same segment.

It's too bad that the Multipla won this survey so handsomely. The first generation was quite ugly, but the second gen got rid of the upper headlights and looked much better. Besides, it shouldn't be eligible for this survey because it went out of production THREE YEARS ago.
The Juke is horrible, but my personal worst is the Dacia Duster - have you seen one of those monstrosities? Yet alone driven one?
No nimination for the Toyota FJ Cruiser? Oh, it's a truck. How about an ugly truck contest? The FJ gets the nod for dumbest name too.
No Aztek?
Thank goodness it's out of production, and so I guess doesn't technically qualify -- but every time I see a Aztek, my aesthetic senses are so offended that it sends me near to road rage.
You forgot the Toyota Yaris. A lump of melted chocolate with a dang nose on it. the neighborhood association allowed me to have a pickup on blocks on the sidestreet but made me garage this ugly thing!
