After months of teasers, the new Corvette is finally here. The 2014 Chevy Corvette wears the historic Stingray name but has a more modern, dramatic look and an all-new powertrain.

Chevy claims the 450-hp, 6.2-liter V-8 is the most fuel efficient and powerful standard Corvette mill yet with a sub-4-second zero-to-60 time and an expected EPA highway rating above 26 mpg. A lightweight aluminum frame and heavy use of carbon fiber help make it lighter. Check out the photo gallery below taken by Cars.com's Matt Avery at its unveiling tonight outside Detroit. Kind of looks like a Porche?

I wouldn't say it looks like a Porche. It looks more like a Ferrari. Either way, the car looks great.

I'm sure one of the complaints when it gets test-driven is the introduction of the C-pillar will reduce visibility.

Its a miracle! the corvette is cool again!
