2013 Detroit Auto Show: A Photo Gallery
Cars.com photographer Evan Sears has collected 25 of his favorite shots from this year’s North American International Auto Show in Detroit for a unique gallery.
"Photographing auto shows can be tricky," Evan says. "There can be any combination of questionable lighting, bad shadows, color casts and greasy fingerprints all over everything. Not to mention it's often difficult to get a clean shot when you're jockeying for space with scores of other photographers and journalists. But if you're patient and can anticipate the gaps in traffic, you'll often come out with great shots."
If you're heading to the show, we've posted a photo by Evan on the Cars.com Facebook page to see if anyone can duplicate it. Check it out here.
Evan's entire photo gallery is below and, as always, just click on a photo to enlarge it.

What's with the Corvette. It looks like the wet dream of an after market body kit mfr. Rear spoiler is tacked on. Vents and intakes have no cohesive thought put into them. Angular rear doesn't match rest of car. Classic modern camel, a horse designed by a committee. Buy it in dark color hides all the mess better.
have to agree with you, the vette will probably only have a more fluid and cohesive look in black!..the stylists only have to look at the Acura and Audi to see when things are done right
If audis design is so great why does the R8 pictured here resemble a 1980s Pontiac Fiero, right down to the mid engine layout? The corvette looks better than any audi, except maybe the audi fox. Lol
BMW 4 Concept - nice update to the venerable 3 series. I like the work on the headlight surrounds.
BMW 6 Coupe - very nice lines. Excellent work on the lower front fascia. The flat silver paint is very nice.
Corvette - This is the best looking Vette in years. The last few years have been sorely lacking. Having said that, I don't like the borrowed tail-lights from the Camaro. That should be the other way around. I think the vents will be better body colored rather than black. Otherwise, very nice and a much needed update.
Audi R8 - most definitely doesn't look like a Fiero, but, it is getting a bit dated.
Ford Atlas - Ford continues to widen the gap with its competition. GM, Ram still playing catch up.
Honda SUV Concept - come nice lines that cold translate into the next CRV update.
Hyundai HCD-14 Concept - Clearly looking to ape the A7 roofline but hopefully the front end doesn't make the cut.
Nissan Resonance - a bit much on the front end styling but some nice lines that could end up replacing the awkward Murano.
WOW, best looking modern Corvette ever. Looks stunning in both red and gun metal. The NSX looks really sharp too, I'll have to decide which one I am going to get.
