The Mazda6 is completely redesigned for the 2014 model year, and Mazda has dropped the V-6 in favor of more efficient SkyActiv four-cylinder engines that team with either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. The new Mazda6 weighs 200 pounds lighter and is a bit smaller than the outgoing model. Check out the gallery below.

Very nice. Rear seat headroom looks lacking.

It is interesting that the photos from the foreign auto shows showed a gated shifter for the automatic transmission and these photos appear to show a straight forward and back shifter. I wonder which one the car will have? I like the straight forward and back shifter better.
