SRT Viper Gets Sub-$100,000 Price Tag
After reading Joe Wiesenfelder's spirited First Drive of the 2013 SRT Viper earlier today, the only question left was, "How much?"
Now we know.
The base SRT Viper will command a $99,395 price tag, including $1,995 in destination charges, before any options are added.
This puts it right between Nissan's GT-R at $97,820 and the Corvette ZR1 at $113,575 including destination as well as gas guzzler taxes for the 'Vette. EPA figures and gas guzzler taxes for the Viper have not been determined yet.
The even more extreme, more ready-for-the-track Viper GTS will start at $122,390, including a destination charge.

A Dodge for $100k? That's almost as laughable as a Chevy for $113, 575! Oh, wait...
Seriously?
This is almost as funny as the $40,000 Volt but at least the hood is awesome.
the last Viper wasnt cheap and this one is way better. The price shouldnt be a surprise. And it's not a Dodge anyway.
Why bother with GT-R, Vette, and Viper when you can have a Porsche 911 S for the same money? Duh...
Better approach would to buy a Z06 Vette, more than fast enough for use on the street, and pocket the rest.
Jay,
You really want to know?
Well, the 911s has only 400hp on a Rear engine rear wheel drive setup.
It still has enough power to swing the tail end backwards to a tree and/or become a heck of a fireball.
