Cadillac's new-for-2013 XTS should appeal to drivers looking for a comfortable, roomy and classy-looking sedan, says Cars.com reviewer David Thomas. Although the XTS is not as powerful as its rivals, its luxurious interior and innovative multimedia system help it stand out from the pack.
2013 Cadillac XTS Review
good review. always refreshing when a heavy luxury car is reviewed as a luxury car and not some corner carving sports sedan. The space and tech in this car is great for the money relative to the Europeans.
$55,000, front wheel drive, 6 speed auto, and under powered? Fail.
The engine needs some more gun...
Drove it, feared to merge. Is that what we want from a Cadillac?
Is the XTS the quickest and most powerful car in its class? No, but you guys are over exaggerating by saying that a sedan with over 300 horsepower is "under-powered" or "unsafe to merge". While your power and speed expectations are rising, speed limits are not. It wasn't too long ago that BMW's 850 was blistering fast with its V12 that didn't even hit 300 horses.
Very nice info on this article and very good attached photos. Many thanks for sharing.
C&D tested the car and it needed 6.9 secs to hit 60. Not fast by any stretch, but thats only a little slower than the 2011 528i. Hardly unsafe to merge in a car with 300hp. Thats about on par with a luxury SUV like the RX350 or MDX.
