Cars.com Reviews the 2012 Hyundai Equus
The Equus delivers Hyundai into the luxury-car market, but a few things are missing from Hyundai's large sedan, according to Cars.com Managing Editor David Thomas. A potent V-8 and a supple ride are among the car's strengths, but an interior trailing other luxury sedans is a glaring weakness, he says.

It was smart that they changed their logo. I was wondering when Chevy or Ford will every take that chance on some of their cars. I hope they do because some people do not like the same logo on the same car. For example would you like if someone was wearing a Rolex watch name brand on a watch you can find at Wallmart? Just saying...
Changed their logo? When? The regular Hyundai logo still appears on the rear of the car. What's on the front is Equus-specific.
Calling the Equus' 362 sales scant seems a bit silly for the class. No, it didn't come close to the 1,696 7-Series that BMW sold, but the LS sold only 536 and the S-Class 852. It came close to the A8 at 401 and handily trounced the RL at a truly scant 40. The Hyundai and the BMW were also the only two that were up over the previous year.
Cars.com's inventory also shows that 465 of 1,015 of the cars in inventory were listed within the past month, so it's not like the cars are nailed to the showroom floor, either. It should also be remembered that most dealers don't sell the Equus, either.
