Cars.com Family Reviews the 2012 Land Rover LR4
Practical luxury and rugged capability coexist in the 2012 Land Rover LR4, according to Cars.com Family contributor Courtney Messenbaugh. This off-road-capable SUV can easily seat five or seven with the optional third row, and its powerful V-8 engine accelerates smoothly. What's not to love? Courtney says its dismal fuel-economy numbers of 12/17 mpg are difficult to take.

The LR Discovery (as we know it here), offers a considerably more poised and composed ride that the current Range Rover, with far more feedback through the steering. Major negative as mentioned is the appalling fuel consumption.
The new 2013 Range Rover - covered here: http://waynesworldautobloguk.wordpress.com - may cancel out the LR4's ride quality advantages as it will be 926lbs lighter. But frankly I think that's still not enough weight loss. It could still lose a further 400-500 lbs. Time will tell.
