Chrysler aimed to take the 300 into luxury territory with the sedan's 2011 redesign, but its aging five-speed automatic held the 300 back, according to Cars.com Executive Editor Joe Wiesenfelder. Model-year 2012's new eight-speed automatic, top-line S trim level and snazzy interior help solidify the 300 as a player in the luxury segment, Wiesenfelder says.

WTF

So I could probably research this myself and answer my own question but thought your answer might help other readers. You haven't been clear with the trim level hierarchy now. Is it:

300
300 Limited
300S-V6
300S-V8
SRT8

Is the 8-speed/V6 combo standard?

8 spd is a $1000 option on the base model, standard on the other V-6 models. You can check the lineup here:

WTF

Well that doesn't really clear up the confusion because you list both 300 and 300C as separate models for 2012. I'm just going to go to Chrysler's website.

Scott

Unfortunately V8 and SRT models are not yet available in the UK. Diesel versions of Chrysler 300C are out since June 2012.
