Reviews the 2012 Porsche Cayman R

2012 Porsche Cayman

In a world that’s moving more toward cars as appliances, the 2012 Porsche Cayman R is a dyed-in-the-wool sports-enthusiast machine, according to Editor Mike Hanley. The R version of the Cayman is more lightweight, featuring racecar-style seats, straps instead of door handles and lighter materials. Check out how it drives in our full review with the link below.

2012 Porsche Cayman Review

By the time you add A/C, SatNav, a stereo and a few other nice-to-have mod-cons, you're over $80K. Now it looks like a bit of a scam. All that extra money for what amounts to an incremental increase over an already-wonderful Cayman S seems like a vanity buy. I don't race, but I do enjoy a fast drive. These lightened (marginally), stripped-out, then jacked-up ($$$) "specials" are pointless to me. Anyone concur?

very nice porshe. What i love about this car is that they never change the looks of their cars. Like with the headlights and tails.
