Cars.com Family Reviews the 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee
With its redesign for the 2011 model year, the Jeep Grand Cherokee has a new powertrain, new looks and a new attitude, says Cars.com Family contributor Carrie Kim. This upscale SUV has a beast of an engine that's paired to a refined exterior and interior that Carrie says is too pretty for mud puddles. While the Grand Cherokee fit her family of three, it didn't fit her lifestyle in suburban Los Angeles' concrete jungle. This SUV's four-wheel drive and drive modes were wasted on California's freeways.

Don't care for the look. It looks kinda cheap. Maybe it just needs a new set of wheel.
I love big cars! I like the post.
We own a 2012 JGC and it fits our lifestyle perfectly, 4WD and all. It is my wife's daily driver.
In January it was the only vehicle that was able to move through the snow and ice, and now we are taking it off-road, exploring the mountains, without fear of getting stuck someplace.
Carrie Kim could have chosen a 2WD Laredo or 2WD Limited instead of the 4WD version. Many people do.
But it is clearly Buyers' Choice with the JGC's three different engines and three different drive trains (2WD, 4WD and AWD), not to mention a multitude of trims (Laredo, Limited and SRT8).
There's a lot to like with the JGC and we like ours.
