2012 Cadillac CTS Video

Now in its fifth model year, the Cadillac CTS has held up well compared to other entries in the midsize luxury sedan segment, according to Cars.com editor Mike Hanley. The CTS has a great interior and a refined feeling ride, says Hanley. But does it have what it takes to beat the BMW 5 Series in the handling department?

the BMW 5 series is still the one to beat in terms of handling? LOL ok...I think I'm going to go with Inside Line, Motortrend, Consumer Reports, and Car and Driver and say that the title of best handling in this segment definitely goes to the A6.

Jon,
You have links to all those declarations? I'm sure some folks disagree but I can't believe every publication you list ranks the A6 better than the 5 Series in handling. And if they do, "one of the best" is probably still accurate.

just you wait.... the ATS is coming???

It's all subjective. Some sources have said new 5 is softer than before. Others say its still sporty. Either way there isn't enough of a gap to declare it definitively better than cts in handling. Sites that provide test data show cts stops and handles as well or better than the current 5.
