2013 Lincoln MKZ: Photo Gallery

2013LincolnMKZ

It seems like weeks ago that we got our first glimpse of Lincoln's new stunner of a sedan. That day-old haze is easily cleared when checking out photos of the MKZ on the show floor in New York.

In the gallery below, there are shots of two elegant paint schemes and, yes, the giant glass roof that slides rearward. We'd still say the grille could use some work, but otherwise this is one well-executed car design.

Wow...Ford/Lincoln really stepped up their game with this redesign. Hope it drives as well as it looks.

skippydog

Too bad for lincoln the new fusion is going to almost as nice and a lot less expensive.

mjf

really like the new grille compared to that thing on the front of the older ones. Not much legroom in the back seat.
The foot on the accelerator in the one seems to be tilted-leg room problem there???

Dan Opperman

It is a beautiful vehicle...I wish FORD would put that much effort into bring back a FAMILY VAN!!!

MB

NICE !!!!! Can't wait until my current MKZ lease is up!!!

valerie

OMG!!! I NEED THIS CAR IN MY LIFE ASAP. THIS IS SUPER NICE, ALL IT WOULD NEED IS A SCREEN OR TWO.

steve

yep let's waste more money on cars that depreciate at a rate that would spin your head right off your neck. Let's all act the government and just spend spend spend, yeah, are we happy yet??

Omar Rosales

Looks like a Jag! Nice though . . .

sheth

dark colors make this look MUCH better. I like it now. Interior is great.

"P"

This hack job rebadge of a Fusion will not save Lincoln. This is a sad excuse for a near-luxury car. This MKFusion is a joke. It's so generic and anonymous. It could be a Kia or Impala.

Mercedes, BMW, Buick, Cadillac, Volvo, Acura, etc must be laughing their rears off at this.

This car is yet another nail in Lincoln's coffin. Ford isn't serious about Lincoln and I would be livid if I were a Lincoln dealer and this botch job was supposed to keep my family fed.

"P"

And it's fantastic that the Rube Goldberg, overly complicated Moonroof severely hampers rearward visibility when open...and the opening isn't that big. There is no reason why the whole roof needs to move....for such a small opening.

The "PRNDL" under the speedo ought to appeal to the 80y.o. clientele.I'm thinkin' Azera!

Guy

A nice design. Like the pushbutton transmission..

sheth

if the push button tranny was on a MB or Audi it would be considered advanced tech. When its on a Lincoln its supposedly a ploy to appeal to seniors. Nothing about this car seems designed to appease 70 year olds.

Greg

Steve, the difference is I can afford it, while the government can't. So what do you care where, when, how, and on what I decide to "waste" my money?

broq3.5

This interior is the hybrid model- notice the "L" below "D" on the "shifter" instead if "S" LOL. I prefer the unique gauges that the regular car has. You can see them on Lincoln's website.

I agree with Shet- in all the time Aston Martin has used the push-buttons, I have never read anything negative about it and all of a sudden it's bad now that Lincoln is using it. I prefer simple buttons to Mercedes-Benz' tiny column shifter or BMW's weird setup.

I disagree with "P" about the styling. This car is a looker.

Broq

sheth

exactly broq, how is this push button setup any more controversial than the electronic selectors used iin German luxury cars? They decided years ago to disconnect the shift mechanism from the transmission mechanically. In fact, MB claims it used the column gear lever to free up space in the center console- just like this car.

David

Where will this car be built? US, I hope . . .

David,
"Hermosillo Stamping and Assembly Plant, Mexico"
Straight from the spec sheet.

sheth

MKZ has been built in mexico from the beginning along with the Fusion. Although some 2013 fusions will be built in the US.

I still own my 2005 LS V8 with 53,735 miles to date Apr 06, 2012 and after viewing the 2013 interior, I only like the location of the cup holders, the dash is way to plain, no RPM tachometer? Front and rear seats basically look the same as '05 so nothing new here for body comfort. Oh, excuse me, the headrest are different, larger sun roof opening (might create too much wind noise. Standard tires with non-classy rims. the one feature Lincoln should have done to spice up the rear, have both exhaust outlets centered like the newer Corvette and Porsche (provides better protection from road salt mix during winter). Relocate rear plate just above center. I feel the rear fender design, looks just like the Volvo. Finally, I hope Lincoln fixed their weak door latch mechanism (during winter season the door latches always freezes open after opening them in freezing rain and fails to close until the interior is hot enough to unfreeze the door latch mechanism). They also had a weak window track device, in the winter the windows would freeze close and when you used the remote down button it would detach the track device from the window making the window inoperative (cost $$$$ to repair if you didn't have the extended core warranty). I'm not impressed with the 2013 MKZ. I still love the Ford Jaguar suspension on my '05 LS V8, I don't believe the 2013 suspension ride comes even close the suspension performance level the LS V8 has, period.

James

agreed J Paul..and the LS is RWD. What ever happened to a RWD Lincoln sport sedan..or Ford, for that matter?

Coop

What bunch of elitists. You guys wouldn't know a good American product if it bit you in the ass. Whether the MKZ is a dressed up Fusion, or not, at least Ford hasn't defected to the Chinese like GM...that's reason enough for me to buy Ford.

are any of the hybrids equipped with vents in the back seat so there is a/c there?? i have ridden in our friends many times, so uncomfortable without air, AND we live in SC, so we realllly need back seat air. thanks, V.Grant
