2013 GMC Acadia and Acadia Denali: Photo Gallery
The GMC Acadia large crossover gets refreshed for 2013, and it's the first model to get the brand's new signature face that includes a new, bold, squared-off grille.
More 2012 Chicago Auto Show Coverage
Inside, updated materials lend a more premium look and feel than the previous version; it gets a new touch-screen and more multimedia functionality, too. The regular version and the new Denali trim, which GMC noted typically makes up around 30% of all Acadia sales, were unveiled in Chicago.

Digging the new look.
Looks like most larger SUVs are starting to look like the JGC or Explorer.
I am a big fan of the improvements inside and out. The one glaring omission to me is the lack of the pushbutton start/proximity entry. For a vehicle in this class/price-range to not offer this at this point seems crazy to me.
I dont know if I really like this update but did anyone saw the gauges. It says SERVICE AIR BAG... Really!!!
true about the push button start.
True about the push button start, and yeah - I noticed the "service air bag" too! I actually thought the gauge cluster looked really chintzy and cheap. Rest of it looks good.
Digging the new look???
Gee, I guess if you like the old Saturn Envoy from a few years ago you'll like this because they actually used the same body parts. LOL. Must have had a warehouse full.
@ Lance..
Yes, because the front end of the new Acadia really looks like the old Outlook. Then when you go inside, it looks like the old Outlook as well.
The wheels must be from the Outlook too..
If you haven't noticed yet, that's a hint of saracsm.
Big deal they copied the wraparound glass the Outlook had. The Acadia and Outlook already shared the same rear end before, and since only minor changes were made in that area of the vehicle, it's not surprising they look similar.
But then again, i'm not surprised. Typical crap here on all automotive sites where people comment on something new GM does. They disregard everything new and good GM comes up with, and nitpicks on the minor inconsequential items because it's impossible for them to give GM credit when they do things.
And no, GM doesn't mean Government Motors, it's General Motors. Just so the next responders know.
Saturn envoy? Really? The tailight design and chrome trim above the rear license plate looks like the Outlook. That's about it. The overall vehicle shape was already like the Outlook so its not a shock that it looks similar. The enclave and Traverse have a different side shape with a rising beltline in the rear.
Seems like a pretty underwhelming refresh.
The rear is nearly identical to the Outlook!
Lance, you nailed it. They are either using spare saturn body stampings or left over tooling. The tailight cutouts and hatch are identical to the defunct saturn. Sd, i agree that gm gets undeserved flak, but in this case lance is correct.
And just so you know, SD, I am not a GM basher. I like a lot of what they are doing. But some stuff they are doing is just rehashed junk and anybody that doesn't have a chip on their shoulder should be able to discuss it rationally.
lance:
Provide other examples of "rehashed junk" please. You sure you arent a GM basher who finds fault with everything they launch? Im not sure what part of this you are missing but the Acadia and Outlook already looked very similar. Those two had the exact same shape while the Enclave/Traverse have nearly the same shape. Im confused as to why you're acting like the acadia looked totally different from the Saturn until now.
Guys, don't get so excited about the 'service airbag soon' message. It's only a pre-startup test of the systems and lights. My complaint would be the absence of an oil pressure gauge in the cluster.
Oh, and one more thing I actually hate about the big GM Sport Utes and some trucks is the ugly, after thought steering wheel with it's tacked on switches and buttons. Why do they keep putting this in the high-end vehicles??? I do prefer the 4 spoke design, but notice how close the switches are to the outer ring in the lower right, the would annoy the crap out me.
Here you go Sheth

Sheth, gm confirmed today that they are using left over saturn parts for the 2013 acadia. You owe lance an apology.
too much fake wood...

Posting under multiple names doesn't do crap, anyways haters will be haters not much you can do about it, Obviously the only reasons you're griping this much is 1) had a bad experience or 2) you just like the fame of putting something down because noone can do anything to you across the internet.

No push button start??? No proximity unlock??? Are you kidding me? I would love to buy one of these Acadia's, I have been keeping my eye on them for years but you have got to be kidding me. 2013 and no push button yet? Hyundai even has push button start, Ford, Cadillac, Kia on and on. Pathetic. GM is really slipping.
