2013 Ford Escape Video

Despite its age, the Ford Escape was a terrific seller for the automaker, which didn't mess with the winning formula for as long as possible. But for 2013, the all-new Escape is a substantially different crossover from the one it replaces, according to Cars.com Executive Editor Joe Wiesenfelder. Its design seems to have more in common with the Fiesta and Focus small cars than it does with Ford's crossovers and SUVs.

No hybrid?

Ford's actually been getting better gas mileage out of the ecoboost engines than with the Hybrids on certain models like the Escape. And since a boosted engine is substantially less complex and expensive than a Hybrid model, it only makes sense to go that route. Take a look at the VW TDIs. Same concept applies.
