2012 Toyota Camry Arriving Sooner Than Expected
Toyota has pushed forward the introduction date of its redesigned 2012 Toyota Camry by two weeks, according to USA Today. The car should be available at dealerships by mid-September. Originally, the family sedan was supposed to arrive in October.
Toyota said it moved the launch forward due to encouraging sales of the 2011 Camry. It was the top-selling car in August in the U.S. and is a best-seller year-to-date. Toyota dealerships don’t want to be awash with 2011 models as its successor arrives, says USA Today.
The 2012 Camry is already in production at the carmaker’s Georgetown, Ky., plant.

Wish Toyota would sell the Aurion/Camry here and not this one.
WTF,
You have not even tried this one!
Same car, different appearance.
Yes by all means let's have this overrated, ugly/bland sedan on the streets ASAP!
Someone is wrong. Are buyers of the Camry wrong? Or are the Toyota/Camry haters wrong? I am not a fan of the Camry, however I wouldn't say it was overrated, ugly or bland. Especially since it sells better than any other car in its class. Styling is subjective. I actually like the new design compared to the old one, personally. Would I buy one? No. But I also wouldn't buy a Sonata neither. Toyota is obviously doing something right.
Peter:
The reason the Camry sells so well is the money on the hood to sell it. Put enough money out there for the taking and "Americans" will bite every time.
Scott, you're wrong. Toyota's close out incentives for the 2011 Camry were only $1,000 cash or zero percent financing - modest incentives compared to many other car makers. Camry is the best selling car because the public is convinced it does its job better than its competitors. The 2011 won a comparison test in one of the major car magazines, against newer designs and the new one will be better. Don't look for any incentives on the 2012 Camry for some time, but it will sell better than any other car in the market.
Ever walk into a new house? All the walls are a light, warm color, usually beige. That doesn't mean beige isn't boring, it just means that's what the public wants, just as high Camry sales doesn't mean the Camry isn't bland.
