The previous Kia Rio was certainly one of the dowdier players in the subcompact category, offering little frills or style. For the 2012 model, Kia has done a complete 180 with the nameplate: The vehicle now looks distinguished and offers luxurious features not yet seen in this class, according to Cars.com editor Mike Hanley.
