Cars.com Reviews the 2011 BMW 535

2011 BMW 5 Series
For the 2011 model year, BMW has completely redesigned its 5 Series sedan. On the outside, the sedan loses many of its awkward styling cues, giving the new vehicle a more aggressive look overall, according to Cars.com senior editor Joe Wiesenfelder. The new powertrain provides sufficient oomph and great fuel economy due to a new Brake Energy Regeneration system. Unfortunately, the new brakes result in an uneven, nonlinear braking feel. On the inside, BMW keeps things simple and understated in a good way, Joe says, but there are many features that aren’t standard in this $50,000-plus car. Is the BMW worth the price premium? i liked the bangle version much better...at least u knew it wuz a 5 series...now it looks too 3 series IMHO!

& when is BMW gonna start putting turn signals in the mirrors instead of on the fenders??!! even Kia has them in the mirrors!

i agree, Bangle was criticized but you did know the 5 series from the other models. Now you are not sure which is which, I'm sure BMW wants you to confuse this with a 7 series & people probably will. Interior are looking a bit dated!

Zack

Let's see, a bland looking car with non-linear brake feel and a numbing driving experience. The ultimate driving machine has turned into a Camry Hybrid!
The use of regenerative braking on a BMW is more proof that soon every vehicle sold will be a hybrid or have a hybrid version.

I disagree!
The Bangle version was hideous and looked like a Hyundai in back. I waited until this year to get the 5 series because this version picks up where the 2003 left off. The 2004-10 versions are a dark spot in BMWs legacy.

i lived in Germany for 3 years & everytime i saw an E39 model i thought it wuz a 3 series....the Bangle E60 wuz a decent seller...2 each his own
