2011 Dodge Durango in the Wild
Dodge has been teasing us with images of the redesigned 2011 Dodge Durango SUV for some time now, but we finally had a chance to see the SUV in person at the Chicago Country Music Festival in downtown Chicago.
The Durango is related to the Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV, but it's longer and comes with a third-row seat. It's not a cut-and-lengthen limousine-style stretch job, however; there's a natural flow to the styling from nose to tail.
Even though it's a big SUV, the Durango has a hunkered-down stance that makes it appear lower than a Chevrolet Tahoe, for instance. The trim level we saw was a top-of-the-line Citadel, but Express, Crew and R/T trims will be offered, too, according to Greg Rush, Dodge and Ram brand marketing manager.
While the Durango's interior was off-limits, you can check out our set of exterior photos below. Click on any of them to view a larger version.

Zzzz...
the only problem i have with it is that it looks too much like the grand cherokee of which its based. im not saying its a bad thing the grand cherokee looks great but it doesnt make this vehicle very distinct.
The front looks nice and aggressive, the back... too plain and minivan-like.
Just found my next SUV for the family!!! This maybe Chrysler's best looking vehicle yet!!! Great job!!!!!
Good looking cut price Merc ML?
They seemed to step up on the looks. I am interested in seeing the interior. But the problem is that most of us won't be buying the top of the line. I personal going more to the philsophy of offering the best trim possible at reasonable price. Market place is to crowded to offer less.
I like the car, its big and bulky but a bit too big for me.
nice looking car . i love it
The tail-lights look like a Honda mini-van.
The Dodge Durango is awesome inside and outside. I like even more than the lustful Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland that is my favorite American vehicle built today. The best thing is that each new Chrysler SUV is unique. The back end of this by the way resembles a Bimmer X5, but has its very own appeal that is uniquely Dodge.
