What is the Most Dreamed-Of Car?

Which cars do you ogle online that you have no intention of ever buying? That’s the question Cars.com tried to answer by examining which cars were the most browsed but only led to a small percentage of inquiries to the dealers selling them.

Unsurprisingly, the list is made up of exotic cars, with the lowest starting price still well above six-figures.

Check out the full list below, and let us know in the comment section below which car you routinely search for that you know you’ll never buy. Unless you hit the lottery.

1. Lamborghini Gallardo
2. Lamborghini Murcielago
3. Maybach Type 62
4. Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe
5. Aston Martin DBS
6. Bentley Continental GT
7. Bentley Continental GTC
8. Aston Martin V8 Vantage
9. Rolls-Royce Ghost
10. Aston Martin DB9

The cars I search for the most aren't even that expensive. I always search the CLS which is below 100k unless you want the AMG version and the SL65 AMG which is just a bit over six figures...but not too much. I don't think that's too expensive to be honest, even though i can't afford it at the moment. Those are common cars in SoCal and tons of people I know, even family members drive Benz S Class. It seems out of reach but still possibly within reach because a lot of people drive expensive cars where I live.

Well, yes, that's your taste but very few people can afford a Maybach or Lamborghini hence the list itself. But you're right, they wouldn't exist if there weren't buyers for them out there somewhere.

Man when the lottery jackpot is high I always look online for cars I want to buy...usually I go to Ebay so I can get an all around view but the Murciellago and the Gallardo are always tops on my list and I also check out the Porsche Panamera and the Audi R8...like you said if I hit the lottery my New garage will look like it's right out of the Dupont Registry..oh yeah I look at that too.

Audi RS6 Avant, Maybach 57S (Can't stand the long back doors on the 62), & Corvette ZR1 Convertible (If they ever make one, or if anything I would make a 1-off conversion, come on most women know corvettes when they see one imo)

The one nice thing about that list is that some of those people will actually be able to afford some of those cars in less then 20 years.

Maybachs depreciate faster than a mob boss with cement shoes.

Lessons with past Bentleys show that some will also bare the highest service to purchase price ratio.

The Roller is a toss up, they aren't as custom made as they once were, thanks to that German BMW corporate touch. However that kiss of death for purists is a god send for those seeking reliable Rolls.
