Recall Alert: 2010 Nissan Frontier, Armada
Nissan is recalling certain 2010 Frontiers and Armadas over issues involving the seating system in each vehicle, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
An issue involving the child-seat restraint system affects 951 Frontiers. The tether anchor may have been improperly welded to the bottom of the seat. As a result, the tether could give way in an accident and separate from the seat, increasing the risk of injury. The recall of 174 Armadas affects the second-row seat. The rear seat’s center seatback my not fully lock in the upright position, which may increase the likelihood of injury if an accident occurs.
Nissan will inspect and replace the defective parts for free. Armada owners will be notified Aug. 30; Frontier owners will be notified Sept. 1. For more information, owners can call Nissan at 800-647-7261 or NHTSA’s hot line at 888-327-4236.

Comment on 'Do you know what this symbol means'
If people would read they're car manuals they would know this. I have found almost no one reads these manuals so they are uninformed about driving.
Yeah, this is a really cool "gizmo". BUT, what they DON'T tell you is this....All of these cars ( from Kia to Mercedes) put aluminum caps on the valve stems. As you drive your "beloved" vehicle around, these basically become SOLDERED to the valve stem. So, when you go to get your tires changed, they have to BREAK these flippin' things off, AND you have to go to the dealer and pay $100-200 to have the monitoring system replaced, OR put up with that annoying little light for the rest of your cars life!! Tell me THAT'S not a rip off????
These 2 comments have nothing to do with seat belt/seat recalls.
Hi, Colin,
I am sorry this is the only place I could find to respond to your tire symbol column. That tire pressure symbol shows up because the ECU records a difference in tire rotation on ABS models only, which are really common nowadays. However, that system can be fooled by traction devices for snow and ice. Autos are not so sophisticated as to have actual pressure readings for the ECU like on race machines. It is all equated on wheel-rotation. That means even if you're stuck in the mud - that tire symbol will appear on the dash. Technically speaking, it was designed to illuminate after cruising when one tire was less inflated than the other. Hence, one has less rotation.
