2011 Infiniti M Pricing Released

2011infinitim37
If you’re waiting for March 18 to get here so you can get your hands on a new Infiniti M sedan, we have one of the most vital specs you’ll need: the price. Sure, we learned all about the upgraded engines, interior and exterior designs late last year, but until you can attach a cash equivalent to those features, it’s hard to judge the cars for consumers.

The M37 with rear-wheel drive will start at $46,250, and the M37x all-wheel drive will start at $48,400; neither includes the destination charge of $865. Move up to the V-8 powered M56 rear-wheel drive, and the price moves up to $57,550, and the M56x all-wheel drive starts at $60,050.

Despite the significant redesign and new, more powerful engines we detail here, the M37 only gets a $450 price bump from the outgoing model. The M56 is $5,400 more but now includes a $3,350 Premium Package as standard equipment on top of the improved power and mileage. That means navigation, premium sound system, heated and cooled front seats and a heated steering wheel are standard on those models.

I have an '06 M AWD and absolutely love it as it has been a million times more reliable than my previous two 5 Series. I currently have 110k and have had zero unscheduled issues. The dealer service could be better but all in all I would put a new M at the top of my list.

Infiniti is a superior car to the junk BMW builds, and that goes for Audi too. But Infiniti used to offer a price advantage along with the superior reliability and that appears to be gone. For these kinds of prices people should look at the e class and s class mercedes as alternatives because MB has better resale value.

George

Clearly you have never owned an E or S Class MB. My wife and I have owned many over the years and let's just say you don't buy them for their reliability. My daughters Lexus and my sons Infiniti are immensely more reliable than any of the MB's we have owned. And to refer to BMW as junk shows what a poorly educated person you are.

Zack

If BMW's are so great why did you buy Mercedes, moron? You can question my education level, but at least I'm not obsessed with how many speeds a transmission has as you have demonstrated in numerous posts. That fact alone shows you know nothing about cars.

George

Hold up Zack, that is a different George.

Nissan was able to undercut the prices of the mainline premium auto manufacturers by utilizing old components, and economies of scale.
Nissan utilized a 5 speed automatic with the ratio spread of a 4 speed automatic. That means it is slightly smoother, and gets marginally better mileage due to more torque converter lockup, that what a 4 speed auto would have done.
But have you seen the mileage of the first generation G35x, utterly horrible because of increase weight, increased aerodynamic drag, and shortened axle ratio. (and the limitations of the 5 speed auto)
and the VQ35, Nissan really got their money's worth out of it.

Ratio spread and number of gears influence the fundamental relationship between engine and vehicle.
Porsche has a 10:1 ratio spread in the new Panamera 'sedan', with only 7 gears. Try to tell them they that they are wrong. Hyundai will have their 8 speed automatic out within one year.
To Nissan's credit, they have stepped up their game with the JR710E, 6.4:1 ratio spread, which is a big step up from the 4.2:1 & 4.6:1 of the 5 speed automatics they were utilizing prior.

Wasn't it Mark Twain, It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.

Zack

Gibberish. Wasn't it Shakespeare who said you're full of crap?
