Drinking Apps Keep Drivers in Line

Lastcall
There’s now an app that can help stop yourself from driving drunk. Whether you fear climbing behind the wheel after a few too many or you just want to keep track of your night’s revelry, iPhone applications like R-U-Buzzed and Last Call can help estimate your blood-alcohol level.

You input the amount and type of each new drink, and the app alerts you to your level of inebriation. R-U-Buzzed and Last Call have a button that can call a cab for you if the night gets late and you realize it’s too late to sober up.

Of course, these apps don’t substitute for a Breathalyzer test — they provide only estimates and cannot be considered legal evidence.
