Hyundai's Four Future Models
During a webcast today, Hyundai CEO John Krafcik announced that the automaker would roll out redesigned versions of the Elantra compact sedan, Accent subcompact and Santa Fe midsize crossover by 2011. He also said the company would release an all-new small, sporty coupe based on the Veloster concept shown above.
The Veloster concept is 161 inches long, which is more than a foot shorter than the Honda Civic coupe but 16 inches longer than a Mini Cooper hatchback.
Krafcik alluded to a new 2.0-liter high-efficiency engine to be used in future products, but he wouldn’t elaborate on which vehicles it would be included in.

you cant mask a bad car with a good warranty. just because theyre just now making reiable cars, that doesnt mean it offsets the years more they were crappy.... to each their own.
Allistar, it means that they have and continue to improve. Don't be so close-minded.
Allistar,
They don't make a bad car and haven't for years.
No question- the Excel was a bad car but that was 15+ years ago.
But Hyundais have been good for years. I took a gamble in 2000 and bought an Elantra station wagon. It proved to be a reliable car for 55k miles, before I traded up to a new '02 Elantra- which was equally reliable. They were both bargains and were the most trouble-free cars I've ever had. Never once did they need to go to the shop aside for regular maintenance.
You're entitled to think what you want of Hyundai- but you're missing out on one of the most value-packed and reliable brands
By the reasoning Allistar, you couldn't buy ANY cars because every manufacturer has made crappy cars in its past. Nearly every American car made from 1975 to 1989 would qualify.
By the way, we have to Kia's and LOVE them. Great cars.
Make that TWO Kia's! Ooops!
Narrow-minded idiots like Allistar can say whatever they want, but Hyundai will have the last laugh.
It's just like those who couldn't accept Korean electronics companies like Samsung and LG, but look who's having the last laugh now.
It's called progress and evolution. In the next twenty years, the Chinese and Indians will repeat what the Japanese have done and what the Koreans are doing now.
Folks, don't let the cynicism get to you. But I love the look of the Veloster. Hopefully Hyundai can stick to the design language and even make it pretty cheap.
