JJJR

Anybody that has seen the 2010 MSRP on new Fords will know why they can give a hefty discount. Car companies have trapped themselves into giving incentives to move their product, no deals = no sales. Simple - mark them up to be able to show a lower price later on. Is the public that stupid?

JJJR, Actually... "yes", they are. But we're trying to get better. The question has been posted, "What would America do, if the US Carmakers were allowed to go out of business?
Answer is: The same thing some have been doing for years.... buying better looking, better performing FOREIGN cars.
That's sad... not from a "loyalty" perspective, but from the fact that the fools running the company have more faith in their faulty demographics, and spreasheets, than polls, and reality.
