Comic Book Creator Recounts His First Saturn Purchase

Malibu Comics co-founder Tom Mason — who now pens TV shows and cartoons — wrote an interesting column about buying his first Saturn back in the company’s early days. The brand’s no-haggle-buying process brought him in the door, and he details his experience right down to sending the factory workers a stack of comic books as a thank-you.

He got a photo in return of the crew reading his comic books next to his car, which was still on the assembly line. It’s worth a read strictly as a snapshot of how the “different kind of car company” really was one of a kind.
