VWBeetle On the market for 12 long years now, the Volkswagen Beetle has stagnated in terms of interior quality, gas mileage and novelty, according to Cars.com reviewer Joe Bruzek. Sure, the 2009 Beetle convertible may still appeal to some, but Bruzek has a whole host of reasons why the Beetle has overstayed its welcome — not to mention a few enticing alternatives for potential Beetle customers.
