Hyundai Advances Dealers Cash for Clunkers Funds
The government hasn’t finished registering dealers for its Cash for Clunkers program yet, and rules for how funds will be distributed haven’t been released to the public or dealers. Hyundai isn’t waiting, however. The company is supplying cash funds to dealers now in advance of CARS going into effect. In fact, it already paid one car shopper last week for turning in a 1995 Ford Explorer while purchasing a new Hyundai Elantra Touring.
Hyundai is being aggressive with its latest incentives, as the company is one of the few to see sales success since the economic downturn. It’s still offering its Assurance plan, and this month it launched a gas incentive good for $1.49-a-gallon gas for a year.

This will be one way to get those horrid Explorers off the roads.Far too many have crashed/rolled and killed people.A poor substitute for a car/wagon/minivan if there ever was one.And Ford thought that Bronco II was a problem child...
I don't know, I loved my Explorer! I did have to take out a cash advance to get new tires because they were so expensive! I would consider doing this if I had a clunker! I have a new PT Cruiser and its a gas guzzler, but not a clunker, per se.
The bill is aimed at the worst performs SUV/Trucks. For the rest of us that have poor to low average performs no luck. My step-mom had a PT Cruiser and it was a good vehicle but poor gas milleage. So I feel for you Chris
There are a specific group of people that will qualify for this program and it make go quick so it is important to not wait if you are in the market to buy a new car. For some of us, like myself, we just don't qualify which is a bummer because I could really use a new car. If any of you need information, you can go to http://oregoncashforclunkers.com. It is my state's website which is very information and has a lot of great news feed aggregations.
Your clunker may not qualify for a voucher, but it will qualify for a tax deduction if you donate car to charity. Your car donation will also help a needy charity.
