Does GM design their seats as an add-on item? As noted in the video, the cloth seats are "hard". This has been the case the last few years with American manufactured vehicles. I suggest all design engineers have to sit on their seat designs for at least eight hours before the designs are approved.

When I was living in Europe there was a discussion about German cars with hard seats and French cars with soft seats... and the motor journalist used to say that harder seats were better for longer trips.

Anyway, if someone believes their seats are hard, there are a lot of cheap aftermarket pillows you can use.

I've never seen any proof that padding changes depending on seat covering. The foam inside cloth and leather seats should be identical. There is no reason to change the firmess of a seat just because you add leather.

Our 2008 Equinox has a 6-CD changer built into the dash, but it's not available in the 2010. We travel a lot and listen to CDs as we go, so this is a real downer to us!
