Recall Alert: 2009 Mazda3

Mazda3 Mazda has issued a recall for 7,100 Mazda3 vehicles from the 2009 model year, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The recall is due to a malfunction in the electronic stability system, which fails to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards. During difficult driving situations, failure of the stability system could lead to an accident.

Dealers will inspect the system and replace the malfunctioning unit for free. Owners may contact Mazda at 800-222-5500 or the NHTSA hotline at 888-327-4236.
