Pricing Announced for 2010 GMC Terrain

2010_gmc_terrain The 2010 GMC Terrain will start at $24,250, while the all-wheel-drive version will begin at $26,000. These prices do not include a destination charge of $745.

Not bad for an SUV that gets an EPA rating of 32 mpg on the highway. If you want to go for the top-of-line trim, you can get an SLT2 with leather seating, a Pioneer sound system, a sunroof and other amenities for $29,250.

How does this compare with certain competitors? The slightly pricier 2009 Ford Edge starts at $26,635, while the 2009 Dodge Journey undercuts both with a beginning MSRP of $20,925. It should be noted that neither the Edge nor the Journey is rated higher than 25 mpg on the highway.

Yeah this is true when you compared this one with the Journey 4 cylinder engine but the Edge doesnt have a 4 cylinder engine. It have a 3.5L V6. You cannot compare a car EPA rating by the price, you should compare by its size and engine.I cant compare a $30,000 Toyota Pruis V with a $30,000 Honda Accord

Leerosky,
So you're saying shoppers never consider a 4 cyl and a 6 against each other when similar in price?

Ziggy

Is there a differnce in MPG between the AWD and 2WD? BTW I don't necessarily look at engine size. To me that's not really important since most 4 cyl produce decent horsepower and some more than some 6 cyl out there. I look at price and gas milage.

GMC should put out a Denali version...with the 300 hp DI V6 from Caddilac.

i do like how much they were able to differentiate it from the chevy. do they have different suspension set ups to make them drive differently?

wish they would have added a third row option, even if it was something kiddy-sized like in the mitsu outlander.

there is alot of talk about cars and savings in the current economic conditions.

Why would someone agree on this price. they should make cars more affordable.

Check out this report.

Its better to compare this to crossovers with I4s standard. The Terrain still comes out on top. I think its good that it comes with more standard equipment and higher price relative to the Chevy.
