Chrysler Offering Up to $4,000 in May Incentives

Dodgegc Chrysler announced that starting today there will be up to $4,000 in customer cash back available on its new 2008 and 2009 models. The company is also offering $1,000 in loyalty cash – meaning if you already own a Chrysler product you get an extra $1,000 – and an additional $1,000 cash back if you finance through a participating credit union.

Chrysler has not published specific deals for each vehicle yet, and its consumer websites cite just the tax credit for buying a new car as an incentive. There’s no mention of these new deals, despite an official press release stating the figures that was sent out this morning.

We’ll post an update as soon as we have one regarding whether the deals will be posted online, or if you’ll need to go into a dealership to find out available savings. The new incentives run through June 1.

Update: Chrysler has confirmed the incentives will not be posted on the vehicles themselves at the dealership. The dealer will have to tell shoppers what is available on each model. The consumer websites may be updated to show new information, but Chrysler could not confirm if that would happen or when. In the past, Chrysler has updated its consumer sites a few days after major incentive plans were announced.

WHITE HOUSE INTERFERENCE

Chrysler and its “rogue” debt holders shouldn’t give in to the Administration’s bully pulpit.

UH, ok. Anyway, this is a post about incentives on new Chrysler products. Discuss.
