2010 Subaru Forester Gets Slight Price Bump
The 2010 Subaru Forester will have a starting MSRP of $20,295 for the 2.5 X model. That’s a $300 increase over the 2009 model, which was completely redesigned. The 2010 model will go on sale in late July/early August featuring the same content as last year, but with some new trim designations.
The next trim level up is the newly added 2.5 X Premium, which goes for $22,795 and includes amenities such as a moonroof, a 10-way power driver’s seat and 17-inch alloy wheels. That’s $3,200 less than the ’09 Forester 2.5 X Limited, which for 2009 was the next step up from the base model. The 2010 2.5 X Limited returns at $25,995 packing leather, an all-weather package, automatic climate control, fog lamps and more, on top of the Premium’s content.
The turbocharged Forester now starts with the 2.5 XT Premium for $26,495, only $300 more than last year’s plain old XT. The top ’10 Forester trim is the 2.5 XT Limited, which adds automatic climate control and other luxuries for $28,495. Again, that’s $300 more than the top trim level for 2009.
None of these prices include a $695 destination fee.

Any news on the 2010 Impreza? Specifically, will navigation and leather be available on the GT?
Thanks.
One would think that with the financial crises that the motor industry would bring down their car prices but yet they increase them, making sales for them less.
Will there be any changes to the 4 speed auto trans? Hopefully a more modern 5 or 6 speed unit ?
CarFanMan,
They don't specifically say but I think if they changed it there would have been a very specific mention. I will double check though.
Janet,
They increased the price slightly for some most popular packages that everyone optioned for it last year. It is at a discounted price now for only 300 dollars.
Yet another year of not purchasing a new Subaru. I held off and leased a GM vehicle 2 years ago awaiting an STI version of the Forester or Legacy. Now yet again nothing. I was really hoping they would wake up and give it a 5AT or 6 speed manual, and an STI version OR even better diesel power so I can actually tow something besides a Tonka toy and get great gas mileage. Another year Subaru won't be seeing my wallet.
I think 2010 Subaru Forester 2.5X Limited is a nice car and the price depending on the utilities. My husband is an adept at SUV cars and we started looking for a car on our taste. Safety in a car takes an important place in our vision. We like very munch the 2010 Subaru Forester 2.5X Limited.
