2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Video

Kelsey Mays had to battle overly eager VIPs to get this video shot at the New York auto show. He still manages to get plenty of quality time with the new SUV and tests out seat room and comfort, as well as some ergonomics and capabilities. One note: The mileage figures shown combine all trim levels with front- and all- or four-wheel drive. They are not simply combined EPA figures. Also, the new Grand Cherokee out-tows the competition when equipped with a V-8 engine, but it’s rated at the same towing capacity as the others with the V-6.

Will buyers buy it? Hmmmm let me see...Design changes are about two years too late...possible bankruptcy or new ownership with Fiat...worst quality and reliability in the industry...worst dealership service in the industry...Nardelli is still running the company into the ground...I'd say the answer is "Only if you are a complete idiot".

Thanks Paul. That settles everything.

How about more commentary on the actual vehicle and less speculating about Chrysler's future. I think everyone is well aware of Chrysler's woes. If they an make a nice vehicle like this while losing money and having major issues I am impressed. As to whether anyone will buy it- that question can't be answered about any new model so it's really not worth asking. It seems that there is a lot of criticism of this vehicle's mileage (with care being taken not to mention realistic competitors) and Chrysler's problems because there doesn't seem to be much else to criticize here. It's a solid product with a LOT of features and a great interior. It would have been nice to hear about some of the technology n this SUV like bi-xenon lights, pwr liftgate, adaptive cruise control, ventilated seats, cross traffic warning, etc.
