March Subaru Deals

2008impreza If you follow our blog, you know that Subaru is one of the few automakers selling more cars in 2009 than it did last year, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t some good deals available on Subaru’s all-wheel-drive lineup, especially if you’re looking for an Impreza or Outback.

Let’s start with the Outback. Rumor has it a new Legacy sedan and Outback wagon will be revealed at April’s New York auto show. If so, that likely means a 2010 Outback would arrive at dealerships in late fall or early winter, at the earliest. Need a car now? 2009 Outbacks get $2,000 cash back right now. If you get a base 2.5i with an MSRP of $22,295, and a Cars.com Smart Target Price of $21,875, the price could drop below $20,000. 2008 models get $2,500 cash back, but in a quick search of local inventory on Cars.com, we found very few 2008 models listed.

What about the Impreza? Well, in a search of local inventory we found a few dozen 2008 Impreza 2.5is, with the lowest price listed at $16,692. Cash-back incentives on the 2008 Impreza range from zero to $3,000. WRX and STI models aren’t included. There are no cash-back incentives on 2009s.

If you’re a fan of the Subaru Tribeca SUV, there’s currently cash-back incentives up to $4,000 on 2008s, and $2,500 on 2009s, depending on where you live. The Tribeca starts around $30,000, and inventory is tighter on them. All incentives end March 31.

The highest cash-back offers seem to be found in the Midwest.  Look up your zip code's available deals here.

Can't say I see much of a deal here, David, especially not compared to others out there.

Then again, you can only get about $400 off list?

John

i own a subaru forester 2.5X limited and it was supposed to be $27,500 and we got it for 24,500...its all in the negotiating

MK,
You don't see a deal in a $17,000 Impreza going for 14,000? That's 20%. ?!
From a company that ISN'T losing its shirt right now.

These are amazing deals on some great cars. I have had my eyes on a certain Subaru for a while now and it looks like it is time to pull the trigger. Thanks for the heads up on these deals!
