Reader Review of the Week: 2010 Mercedes-Benz GLK-Class
AlexMD from Maine just purchased a new 2010 Mercedes-Benz GLK-Class, and he’s already finding it useful in the inhospitable New England winters. As for qualms, he has only a minor one. Read his full review after the jump, then be sure to let us know how you feel about your car by posting your own review here.
“Just got the new GLK: White with multimedia, running boards and 20-inch wheels.
“My first impression is very good. Everything feels very solid and durable. Coming from an Altima 3.5 V-6, this feels heavier (well, it is an SUV and is much heavier), the handling is superb! I live up north and had winter tires with studs on all four wheels of my Altima, but this thing feels so much more secure with just all-season tires.
“Acceleration is great, and the engine does not feel stressed at all. I am used to 0-60 times in high-sixes, low-sevens. The controls are very simple. It took me three minutes to hook up my cell phone via Bluetooth. Navigation system is good and easy to use.
“On the negative side, people looking for a large rear sitting space may be disappointed, although I could fit there without any problem (I am 5-foot-11').”
