Chrysler Finally Lists Employee Pricing Online

I am afraid that nothing will save this company.
Seriously. Hyundai brings more interest that anything Dodge. Yesterday at auto show people were all over Genesis coupe and sedan. Dodges - not so much. But 22G for 2009 Chrysler 300 is not bad if you have strong nerves. I don't. I want a car that doesn't make me think "will it start?"
Tony,
Reliability has come a long way and if you still look at a car and think "will it start" then you're ignorant to reality. While Chrysler may not have the most desirable products in the marketplace right now, they are still decent, modern vehicles that will most definitely start and start reliably.
I am a chrylser auto worker and would be proud to drive any of the cars we make.I had a 1996 dodge stratus that i drove back and forth to work,90 miles round trip. When the car finally died i had 225,000 miles on it !!!!!
Most of the reliability issues are far removed from "if it starts"
But Chrysler products do rank under the industry avg for most reliability measures.
This is Dave T. not sure why my name is no longer appearing.
Guess what, most hyundai don't rank very high on reliability either but the auto media seems to be in love w/ them. I don't have a dodge but you put a challenger next to the Genesis coupe and there's no contest which would win. The Gen coupe is trying to be a Japanese cloned coupe but it's definitely not better looking than the challenger in any way. Just because sales are pretty good at Hyundai doesn't mean reliability is better than any of the big 3 or japanese 3 for that matter. They are a good alternative, at a cheap price but not better yet.
Watchdog, you'd think that you wouldn't have to worry about a car starting on every try. The owner of the company where I work bought a beautiful new Escalade. We all get a warm-fuzzy feeling inside when he gets ready to leave and it won't start. He's had it towed three times since last spring.
That's reality.
Let's not make every post turn into domestic vs. foreign etc. There are people out there looking for deals on these cars as we found in past posts about this sale. I found their comments really useful about trying to find a good deal. This blog is really about car shoppers and while reliability is a BIG issue we tackle, things like cars not starting and the occasional lemon are mainly anecdotal and you'll have one story for every brand like that.
Take a look at JD Power ratings, resale value etc to get a bigger picture.
I'm not saying reliability isn't an issue with Chrysler, because it is one of their main faults compared to most brands, but a lot of people have owned them and are loyal to them and want comments to be useful like if anyone has bought a chrysler product during this sale and their experiences.
"Let's not make every post turn..." Is it Dave T? Good comments. Let me share my exp, not directly related though.
In the past 5 yrs, I've owned 2 cars: 1) 96 Protege (105K to 155K miles) and 2) 02 Stratus Coupe (86K to 140K..and continue). I didn't know anything about cars and bought them solely based on Price Vs Model Yr. Both cars were/has been very reliable. I owned Honda/Toyota back in my home country.
I realize now that it's not a bad deal at all. Both cars are hybrids (Domestic/Foreign). This is because I unintentionally bought cars, which their perception do not match with their actual reliability.
Similarly, you could hit a good deal (considering huge available incentives) if you buy some certain domestic/domestically-owned models (e.g., Challenger, CTS, C30).
Give them a chance! ;)
I picked up my fully loaded brand new 2008 Challenger SRT8 on Saturday. And there is no way that any Korean built auto is better than this hot ride. BTW, the EP++ price was $38430 on a MSRP of $41985.
I just received an email from the Internet Sales Manager at the dealer I purchased my SRT8 from. He informed me that Chrysler is dropping EP++ on all Challengers. I would have expected them to drop the SRTs, but he said Challengers. Just a heads up to those out there looking to buy. You may want to go to your dealer now before the word gets out.
hi guys, i believe this rebate is great in theory, but the fact is I have waited until something like this came along to buy the new SRT8, as stated maybe in chicago, but not here in miami, fl. i guess we are not good enough for the detroit boys. the SRT8, has no incentive, the 2009 is priced at 47K without the normal dealer fees and taxes, well over 50K to purchase, oh and no rebate on the loan either , sad to say....
I guess I will wait for southwest airlines to get one more billion from the feds to bring down their fares to fly to chicago....oh maybe with my 400.00 stimulus check...have to give that a thought............
Do you have the 2010-2011 employee listing?
