New Car Tracker: 1.19.09

Insight An eventful Detroit auto show gave us a slew of release dates to share. A lot of hype surrounded Honda’s new Insight hybrid — available in April — which will compete with Toyota’s 2010 Prius that was also new in Detroit and will be available in late spring. On the non-hybrid front, cars like the 2010 Buick LaCrosse, 2009 BMW Z4 and Lincoln MKT now have more specific release dates. As always, we remind our readers that we don't list models that are rumored; we only list confirmed vehicles.

The Insight & Soul will be 2010 MY's!

thanks for catching that. fixed.

Adrian

The 370Z is already on dealer lots where I live.

i have no life, you're welcome! LOL How come u use David now instead of Dave? Ps what is taking Hyundai so long 2 get the Elantra Touring out stateside?

I think it's just a cookie issue. I'm working from home today. Elantra touring did take a long time. Not sure why.

MSS

On Saturday I saw a Kia Soul already with license plates on the I-15N. I was so excited I sped up to follow it, and I was driving a Dodge Charger.

It seemed to be a base due to no tinting and black-colored door handles on the silver car. Can't wait to be able to test drive one myself.

I thought the 9-4X was cancelled.

What's the wait on the Cruze?

Dave,
Cookies issue? Too much of them at home?

The "Orlando"? Does Chevy reallly need another SUV/CUV???

johnnyt

no official date for the ford transit connect? thought that was a 2010 done deal.

also keeping a keen eye out for the rumored stateside 2010 suzuki swift.

on behalf of http://cars.creditsnote.com we say keep up the good work , you guys are doing a great job

CTS coupe is not cancelled, its been postponed by 1 year. You can see the story on autoblog. I dont believe GM ever said it was outright cancelled.

T

I think its cancelled for the year it was originally supposed to be released, 2010. But it could possibly come by a later date.
