Ford F-Series Still Most Popular During Devastating November
The Ford F-Series remains atop the list of the top 10 best-selling vehicles in the U.S. for November. However, sales were down significantly across almost every brand in the market.
The biggest loser this month was Chrysler, with sales down 47% compared to November 2007. Nissan followed with sales down 42%. GM next was down 41%. Toyota was down 33.9%. Honda down 31.6%, and Ford rounded out the big-company slow-sales picture with sales that were off 30%.
Nearly every make saw significant drops. Hyundai and Kia were down 40% and 37%, respectively, while luxury automakers BMW and Mercedes-Benz were down 36% and 38%, respectively.
What the numbers show is that, despite common beliefs, the sour automotive market is not just a domestic problem. Things are so bad in Germany that the government there is considering a bailout of its automakers.
The top 10 best-sellers list is below.

any word on how much VW/Audi is down?
during the last "sales slump" like this, Audi was up quite a bit.

Audi's numbers just came in. Down 25.4%. Not good but better than almost everyone else. Lincoln, Subaru were only ones down in the single digits. And Mini the only brand up 43%!

Mini did just come out with the Clubman though, a model that offers pretty good space and cargo in a little package with great fuel economy.

I find it funny that GMs "savior" trucks only enjoyed a couple months of good sales after they were introduced, and then the "old" F-series have consistently whipped them. There is a reason why they have been sales leaders since 1977.....there are a lot of Ford truck fans out there.Thank goodness for that, and Ford is thankful too.

Does Toyota sales include Lexus and Scion? Are the Tundra plant workers working?
If this slump in sales goes on, a lot of workers from Honda/Nissan/Toyota are going to lose their jobs...
